During Belladonna's trip back home Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, uses her powers to change reality. While the world previous had mutants as the oppressed class of citizens, the new world she created depicts mutants as the dominant, ruling class. The House of M, consisting of Magnus and his family member, reside on the sovereign nation of Genosha where they rule with an ironfist. Some nations, such as Latveria, has remained untouched but under the watchful eye of the House. Others challenge the rule of Magnus such as Queen Ororo of Kenya who helped turn Africa into a world power.

Belladonna French remains a wealthy citizen in the nation of Genosha as her mother's voice of the French nation within Genosha's borders. Through an arranged marriage to Gold, Belladonna wants for nothing. Being in close proximity allowed her powers to develop as they should have from their emergence, but the persona Donna remains in tact though is completely dormant within the universe the Scarlet Witch has created. While Belladonna has not experienced the trauma of losing her mother at a young age she still remembers the murders of their close family friends, the disappearance of her lover Gaston suspiciously around the announcement of her arranged marriage to Gold, and she retains her previous memories from Eros upon her return.
